what is happening from one moment to the next, and guided by the relational theory principle that every individual is a whole - a mind, a body and a soul. the aim is to become more aware of who we are in the world, by seeing ourselves in relation to others. this increased self knowledge can enable us to understand our processes and so to make positive changes in our lives. the therapeutic relationship, between you and i, is the most important feature of the therapy i provide. i have completed four consecutive years of training on a postgraduate diploma (masters level) in gestalt psychotherapy and am currently working towards full ukcp accreditation. i am registered with ukcp as a trainee member, receive regular clinical supervision and i abide by the code of ethics in professional practice of the welsh psychotherapy partnership, which is consistent with the standards set by the united kingdom council for psychotherapy (ukcp). i have a background in television production, writing and lecturing. to view this website in welsh, click here . the issues that lead people to seek therapy may be general or specific and could include: • finding ways to better understand yourself ; • looking for more fulfilment in life; • struggling with issues relating to relationships; • experiencing stress or anxiety related to work or home life; • having difficulty adjusting to traumatic life events; • a general sense of something "not being right". many people find therapy supportive, rewarding and life changing. some people explore self - d evelopment issues , whilst others choose to explore historical issues that impede daily functioning. others feel the benefit of simply having the opportunity to talk and to be properly heard. psychotherapy sessions are a safe place to talk about things you might not feel comfortable discussing with anyone else. the aim is to help you find better ways to cope, or to bring about changes in the way you think and behave, to improve your mental and emotional awareness & well-being, as well as your general quality of life. we would normally commit to meet on a weekly basis for 6 sessions and then make a plan, based on what we have explored together and then review progress on a rolling basis. weekly therapy attendance is very important to progress and a room is booked in advance for the session. fees are £30 -
